First time visit?

You’ll find ‘The House’ a very hospitable church indeed – or at least we try to be. If you need anything while you are visiting please ask anyone wearing a name tag. And please, please, please don’t leave without filling out a guest card and collecting your ‘GUEST PACK’ The pack has quite a few things you’ll like; a DVD, a very good and readable small book by Rick Warren titled ‘What on Earth Am I Here For’, our church brochure and other stuff you might find useful.

WHAT TO WEAR?

Anything you’re comfortable in. Some dress up to the nines, others are more casual. It really doesn’t matter. What does matter is you come expecting to hear God speak to you.

WHAT’S THE SERVICE LIKE?

It changes from week to week. Our worship music is more contemporary than traditional although there is the odd hymn or two. We would also often have video illustrations, drama sketches, mime and so on. Our service is just under two hours but never boring. And of course most of us may a beeline for Cafe 3:16 at the end of the service for some delicious snacks (its way more than tea and digestive biscuits!) There is also a time of giving – where money is collected. BUT this is meant for regular attenders; please don’t feel under pressure to give anything, it really doesn’t matter.

WHAT ARE THE PEOPLE LIKE?

Friendly, multicultural and fun loving. We are not a very big church but we did have about 22 nations represented at the last count.

HOW DO I GET TO CHURCH?

The nearest train station to us is Prince Regent Lane (DLR) and buses are 147 and 473. We are just next to Custom House Library which itself is next to the local park (coming in from the A13) Our street address is 260 Prince Regent Lane, Custom House, London E16 3JJ and we are right on the corner of Jersey Rd. There’s a map on our contact page as well

WHEN DOES THE CHURCH SERVICE START?

Our main Sunday service is from 11.00am to 12:45pm but you’ll be surprised at how quickly time flies. We also have periodic Bible study for adults from 10am to 11am if you want to take part in this (all welcome)

Café 3:16
Could we also encourage you to wait behind after the service? That’s so you can join everyone for after service refreshments in our CAFÉ 3:16 at the back of the church. We have a welcome table set up especially for our first time guests. It would also give you the opportunity to ask us any questions you want. God bless.
