Rev. Tade Agbesanwa
Lead Pastor
Rev. Tade Agbesanwa has been the Lead Pastor of Custom House Baptist Church for about 21 years. He is a fully accredited Baptist minister with the Baptist Union of Great Britain. He is passionate about reaching out to the unchurched so that they may also have a saving relationship with Christ. Apart from his work in the church, he is also a London Baptist Association District Minister. His active engagement in the LBA sees him serve as part of the Strategic Mission Forum, Chair of the LBA Communications Hub and a member of the Portfolio Management Group. Pastor Tade (PT) also loves apologetics and likes nothing more than engaging in intellectually stimulating conversations about Christianity (although he would be the first to acknowledge that the work of the Holy Spirit, not intellectualism converts souls to Christ)
Most who have met PT would describe him as easygoing and approachable. He has a non-judgmental attitude towards others and believes people should come to church as they are but be brave enough to open themselves up to the God who changes and transforms us into the image of His Son.
PT is an alumnus of the University of Ife, the Warwick Business School, Spurgeon’s College, and Rockbridge Seminary. He holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Theology (MTh) and a Master of Divinity (MDiv), among other academic achievements. Pastor Tade is also a long-term Certified John Maxwell trainer, speaker and coach.
In his spare time, he reads (a lot!), watches Nollywood (you don’t know what Nollywood is?) and dabbles in Photoshop. He is also an avid Table Tennis player. PT has been married for 30 years to his wife Bose – whose contribution to the ministry in Custom House Baptist Church is invaluable.
